October 2008 : Tea Rooms open
Our shop at 7 Cook Row, Wimborne has been enlarged with new Tea Rooms, in one of Wimborne’s oldest buildings.
With their Elizabethan timber frame, bow windows, flagstone floors and view of the Minster the Tea Rooms offer a
quintessentially English experience. The work involved a great deal of sympathetic repair. It has been quite a journey.
Do sit down to enjoy any of the pastries, savouries, cakes, or bread that we sell in the shop with tea, coffee or
organic juices.
We serve really exceptional organic coffee from the Monmouth Coffee Company, and brew all kinds of special teas
and infusions.
We have just received our licence to sell organic beers and wine. So they will be available soon, meanwhile lovely
fruit juices and cordials are on sale.
The daily Menu consists of breakfast, lunch and tea time classics, all of which are served throughout the day.
So morning, lunchtime or in the afternoon there will be our own muesli, toast, buttery kedgeree, Welsh Rarebit,
toasted bacon sandwiches and pannini, soup, salads, bread pudding with custard, almond croissants, Eccles cakes,
scones with clotted cream …and more.
Seasonal vegetables come from our biodynamic walled garden. And we make soup, sandwiches, coffee and teas to take away.
We sell all the produce from the original Long Crichel bakery there, including jams, jellies, and herbal infusions, as
well as an exciting range of black, green and white teas, Stoate’s stone ground organic flour, Fish4ever products,
Alchemy chocolate and more.
