Cheese Straws
Since the day we started making cheese straws, we have hardly ever succeeded to make enough.
They are simply twists of organic puff pastry rolled in organic cheddar and baked until they are golden.

Flammenkuchen
This is a variation of an Alsatian dish, which could be described as a Northern French/ German answer to Pizza.
It consists of a bread base, which is then coated with sour cream and covered or sprinkled with layers of vegetables.
Sometimes we use chard or spinach and onions squash and celeriac, sometimes we leave out the sour cream, the chard
and spinach and just use lots of vegetables. Contact us for the flamekuche of the day!

Vegetable quiches
These are made with short crust pastry and have a delicious light creamy filling; the vegetables might be leeks,
onions, or spinach...

Vegetable Pasties
Theses are made in the traditional pasty shape and size only, they do not contain meat. We use lovely rich puff
pastry and usually onions, potatoes, carrots, maybe garlic or leeks and plenty of seasoning.

Sausage Rolls
These are made with puff pastry. We season the sausage meat ourselves with plenty of hers and spices.
The meat comes from some very local farmers who allow their rare breed pigs to roam and forage in nearby woods.
Sometimes the pigs are in the same woods from which we get the wood we burn in the oven. The pigs are slaughtered
locally and, although the meat is not certified Organic, we feel that this meat conforms as much as possible to our
ethos in every other way.

Vegetable Pasty
Puff pastry filled with vegetables that are in season and wherever possible grown in our garden.

Quiches
short crust pastry with a light creamy filling and vegetables from the garden; onions, leeks, spinach.

Special order savoury pastries
Quiches or tarts in larger sizes can be ordered in advance.
We also make petits fours to order for drinks parties. |
